Conozco personalmente al Dr. Esquinas por el curso de experto en metodología de Ventilación mecánica no invasiva que imparte en Málaga. Es un autor con un gran número de publicaciones tanto en Editorial Panamericana como en Springer. Recomiendo su lectura si estás intentando entrar en el mundo de la Ventilación mecánica y el soporte respiratorio.

En este libro Guía esencial de Metodología en Ventilación Mecánica no Invasiva. de la Editorial Panamericana, hay numerosos capítulos que van desgranando el uso y la metodología de la VMNI en cada patología. Os paso el linkedin del autor.

Empieza con una descripción de la fisiopatología de la Insuficienci respiratoria en VMNI. Pasa a describir las diferentes interfases que se encuentran en el mercado y el uso adecuado de  cada una de ellas. Posteriormente detalla los diferentes tipos de ventiladores que han existido y las indicaciones y contraindicaciones de cada uno, pasando por los factores pronósticos de éxito o fracaso. Después desgrana la aplicación de VMNI en muchas patologías.

Es una buena adquisición para introducirte en el apasionante mundo de la Ventilación mecánica no invasiva. Ya he escrito sobre otros libros que pueden ayudarte como el Handbook NONINVASIVE VENTILATION. Annita Simonds. ERS publications.

Poco a poco iré compartiendo con vosotros la diferentes publicaciones (libros y artículos) de diferentes temas interesantes para el mundo del ICTUS. Detallaré obras de ventilación mecánica, fisioterapia neurológica, fisioterapia respiratoria (air stacking, entrenamiento musculatura respiratoria, ejercicios de flujo, drenaje de secreciones, guías SEPAR y ERS), vendaje neuromuscular, BOBATH, VOJTA, Le Metayer.
